What can i expect after my eyelid surgery?

Quick healing: If you are referring to cosmetic lid surgery or blepharoplasty, healing is very rapid: the skin is very thin and the blood supply is excellent.

Bruising & swelling: The eyelids will be swollen and bruised for 1-3 weeks. This is usually worse the day after surgery. The incisions can be itchy as they heal and there may be some pain in the first 48 hours.

Short recovery: Eyelid surgery patients generally recover quickly. Mild swelling and some light bruising may occur. Sutures are generally removed in less than a week.
