What is the recovery time after eyelid surgery?

Usually not too long: Eyelid surgery can be performed on the upper or lower eyelid. Sometimes the eyelid surgery can performed inside the eye without a scar. Most patients can look presentable in a week when sutures are removed. Eyelids take about six months in total however for the majority of swelling to be improved.

Pretty short: Upper lid blepharoplasty is a very straightforward operation; I have had patients with very little bruising and swelling return to work in 2-3 days. There is generally more bruising and swelling with lower lid blepharoplasty, but this can be covered with makeup about 5 days postop. Either way, pain should be minimal. Good luck!
