Rewarding: Eyelid surgery is usually performed under local anesthesia. It is not a painful surgery and the recovery is mostly limited to the bruising and discoloration. Sutures come out about 6 days after surgery and you can use makeup couple of days after. The result is rewarding giving a much younger look to the face.

Opens up your face: Good cosmetic eyelid surgery makes an amazing difference in your appearance. The eyes (lids) are the central focus of the face. After lid surgery you will appear refreshed and wide awake. Properly done, the scars are well hidden and the discomfort afterwards is minimal. General anesthesia is used in my practice to ensure your safety and comfort.

Simple: When performed for the correct reasons by a qualified doctor the procedure is very straight forward. The upper eyelids usually respond well to the removal of excess skin, and sometimes a little fat. The lower eyes - visa versa. I perform the procedure under local with sedation or general anesthesia, depending on my patients preference. Bruising lasts a week or so, and there is usually little pain.

Depends: Of course, there's a wide variety of procedures that involve the eyelid - so recovery ranges. If you're asking about blepharoplasty - an eyelid tuck - the recovery is easy. Little pain, little swelling, maybe a small amount of bruising... Most people feel it's easier than they expected.
