Perhaps: When the nose is severely congested with nasal blockage or obstruction, a person can feel like they are having difficulty breathing. When the nasal congestion is treated, the feeling subsides. However, frequently nasal and lung symptoms occur together (like allergies and asthma), so if heavy breathing continues as nasal symptoms improve, evaluation by a physician is necessary.
