How to care for them: It can be frustrating or upsetting to care for people who are very ill. Dementia also affects our ability to interact with people. Sometimes inappropriate behavior occurs. People with dementia are still people. Treat them as you would want to be treated if you had dementia. Kindness, respect, patience- expressing those qualities will sometimes be fulfilling for us.
