Yes, emotional dysfunction can cause secondary cognitive issues, especially if your sleep pattern is poor secondary to this. Contact a therapist, and deal with some of this via cognitive-behavioural approaches. A psychiatrist may well be useful. Some blood tests should be reassuring. Highly unlikely you suffer a true neurological dementia at your age.
