Stents ; Prophy: According to the latest aha (american heart association) guidelines, stents are not a risk that generally requires antibiotic prophylaxis for most dental procedures including teeth cleaning. Having said that, if the stents were very recent or you have special circumstances, your cardiologist may still recommend it. The final decision should rest with both your cardiologist ; treating dentist. Ask.

Usually none, but this is a decision to be made between you, your Dentist, and your Cardiologist. Usually Amoxicillin or, if allergic, Clindamycin.. Your Den test or Cardiologist will have to write a prescription for you to take an hour before your Dental appointment, but only if required..
