Gastroenteritis: There are many great over the counter treatment options for acute diarrhea. First, try some of those and if they are not helping then follow with a physician. Remember to continue to try and keep hydrated with fluids as frequent diarrhea can lead to fluid losses quickly. Eat small but frequent meals with low fat content.
