Hsg with anesthesia cause any pain?

Hysterosalphingogram: Hysterosalphingograms are generally done in the x-ray departments and are not very uncomfortable. If the fallopian tubes are blocked or the cervix stenotic, intravenous sedation would make for a better experience.

HSG: Hysterosalpingogram is a x-ray test to evaluate the shape of the uterus and show whether the fallopian tubes are blocked. Usually done without general anesthesia while you are awake. Some doctor suggest taking a pain killer before and even antibiotics. Now, some centers may offer i.V sedation.
