HSG wow: Hsg is appropriate (at some point) for all females undergoing fertility treatment. It tests your tubes; the alternative test is surgery. Of course you can refuse it, but some doctors - me for instance - will not treat you (prescriptions) more than 3 cycles if you decline. No one will give you general anesthesia, some will give valium for anxiety (i don't ever), but thats another story.).
