Is the gastric sleeve good for a person with sarcoidosis? because of the inflammation and the stapling of the stomach? would it cause problems?

May increase risk: The gastric sleeve procedure can be safely performed with good success in most patients. However, sarcoidosis can lead to poor tissue healing, making a surgical complication more likely. With the stomach stapling there is significant inflammation associated with healing. You will have to discuss this issue carefully with your surgeon to determine the risk for you.

No problem: It should not be a problem as long as you are not on high doses of steroids at the time of surgery.
