Maybe..: When deciding which weight loss operation is best for you, bariatric surgeons look at all of your medical history and problems and come up with the best surgery for you. There could be other things in your history that make a bypass a worse option than the sleeve or the band. Schedule a consultation with a bariatric surgeon an make sure you discuss all of your options.

sleeve ; sarcoidosis: Neither one (bypass or sleeve) is better than the other with respect to sarcoidosis. Studies have shown that people on immunosuppressive therapy can safely undergo either operation. I would just decide which operation is best for you. In a healthy ; moderately obese person, either operation is fine. If you have gerd, diabetes, or have a bmi over 50, bypass is preferred.
