Swollen legs: So many different things could cause this that i can't really answer this. Get it checked out by a physician.

Edema: You must see a doctor and be evaluated with full history, physical exam and other studies. This can be due to many different causes, some of them needing immediate care. Go soon and hope this is nothing serious. Good luck.

Is there fluid: To check it . Push your leg and foot for approximately 30 second and release it . If the there is pitting then there is fluid . If there is pitting swelling ( edema ) we think of heart , kidney , nutritional status , venous obstruction , liver disease . Beware of blood clot to . In any case , please see your doc
