I would like to know for how long is the discomfort. Was there any traumatic injury. Does anything relieve the discomfort. My first recommendation would be to go to ER.

I have had xrays on my left knee to see what is wrong with it due to it being swollen and hurting back in July. I was diagnosed with have patella in both knees. After physical therapy, my swelling went down - but now its back when I am moving a lot. It doesnt hurt but there is a lot of fluid on the knee and it seems to go away when I work out.
