Acne & antibiotics: Oral antibiotics reduce the number of bacteria on the skin and in the follicles. It has an anti-inflammatory effect too. Take them under the guidance of your doctor. Side effects: allergy-rash; sun sensitivity; nausea/diarrhea/abd. Pain; bacterial resistance; rare possible failure if you are on birth control pill. Consider topicals or decreasing the amount to achieve best control of acne.
