Sudden onset of acne at 29 years old is rare and it can be precipitated by some medications, hormonal imbalance as well as social or environment change. I wonder if any of these factors applies in your case?

Not too uncommon for Acne in females , but also in Males , to appear in the 20's . Need to continue with topical agents , eg. Retin A as a long term maintenance, preventative program . If pustules keep developing then you may also require a topical antibiotic therapy and also oral Antibiotics longer term .
