I have cirrhosis. recently a ct scan showed ascites in liver area. lately ultrasound showed none. will asxites definitely reoccur?

Ascites: If you have cirrhosis of the liver then ascites would be common. If the last ultrasound was normal that is a good sign but does not eliminate the issue of it reoccurring, it is unfortunately a part of the disease process.

What's the cause?: Ascites comes and goes with liver function. What's the cause of your cirrhosis? If it was hepatitis b and you are now cleared, it is likely to regress markedly. If it was alcohol and you're now sober, it's likely to reverse at least partly. If it's undiagnosed wilson's or hemochromatosis... The key today with cirrhosis is to not give up hope. Best to you.
