Yes and no.: If you have an active infection in your fallopian tube it should usually be treated with antibiotics prior to surgery if possible. An infected fallopian tube does not always require surgery. That being said antibiotic therapy does not always mean that you will not require surgery. Antibiotics will treat an infection but will not necessarily repair any damage to your tube.
