It depends: A hydrosalpinx occurs when the tubes are filled with fluid. This usually results from an infection such as PID which can be chronic. There are other situations where a hydrosalpinx can result. Hooweverm the treatment is usually surgical probably along with ab's. This can cause blocked tubes and result in future infertility as well as an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy
