Needs assessment: These symptoms could be related to cardiac issues and can have serious consequences. Have your friend get assessed by a physician as soon as possible. While cardiac disease in youth is rare, there are a number of congenital issues that can present this way. If cardiac workup is negative, can discuss gerd, asthma, muscular issues, and nerve entrapments, but cardiac needs to be ruled out.
