No: The standard of care for tooth infection is penicillin however with patient that are allergic to penicillin and sulfa and clindamycin levaquin can be an alternative option.

Antibiotic: Penicillin is the "go to" antibiotic for tooth infections. Si the infection seem resistant or there is an allergy to penicilln, Clindamycin is often the choice.
