I was prescribed levaquin (levofloxacin) for strep and possible sinus infection. even though it's taken once a day will it help and is it a strong antibiotic?

Levofloxacin: This is a fluorinated quinolone antibiotic that has a relatively broad spectrum of activity, but its effectiveness can only be predicted if you know what the causative organism of the infection is. Sinus infection seldom requires antibiotic therapy.
