Probably: It's impossible to get optimal levels of vit d from diet alone during fall ; winter: most adults need 5-8000 iu/day. Usda statistics show less than 25% of americans get the dri (daily recommended intake) of folate (folic acid) from diet, only 32% get the dri of magnesium, 45% get adequate a, 14% get the dri of vit e, 52% vit c, 58% enough zinc, 65% the dri of b6 etc. Vitamins insure getting the dri.
