Time and meds: If you are referring to shoulder pain after laparoscopic surgery, this usually subsides in 1-5 days. Non-narcotic pain medication such as naprosyn (naproxen) may help, and/or the narcotic based pain medication prescribed postop can help. It's usually well tolerated and self limited though. Hope this helps!
