Do blocked arteries show up in chest xrays?

See below: 'hardening of the arteries' means that calcium is deposited in the wall of the artery. This calcium can sometimes appear on x-ray and can indicate 'blocked' arteries.

XRay: Xrays are customarily not ordered by vascular surgeons to detect arterial stenosis or blockage in the arteries. You'll need an ultrasound or a ct scan to make that determination. See a vascular surgeon to have your arteries assessed and insure that there is no critical ischemia.
