I don't know: This is a new response to removing one's dentures that I have not come across before. I bet your dentist would be interested to examine you and may be find out what is causing this unusual reaction. Are you getting your teeth checked regularly? You should!

Lower lip : The most likely reason for your lower lip to twitch aafter removing youir dentur is that the lower lip muscle is used to holding the denture in. To do this there is some contraction of those muscles. When the denture is out, the lip muscles may still be contracting, causing the twitch.

Normal : The teeth in you lower denture along with the pink flange support the muscles of your lower lip. When you remove your denture this support is lost and the muscle looks for a new position. Thus the quivering. It should last only a few minutes and is perfectly normal.
