Can crying hurt a babies throat?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Alan Mease
47 years experience in Pediatrics
Crying alot?: Babies cannot hurt themselves with too much crying. They can become hoarse just as adult can by yelling or too much talking. The more important question is why is the baby crying? Excessive crying can be a sign of a physical or attachment problem and should be discussed with your pediatrician.
