Go get checked & see: If you are in moderate to severe pain, then you need to be seen and evaluated to determine the answer to this question! go to an urgent care or er for exam and medication to get it under control. Good luck!

Not sure: If they hurt that bad, bringing you to tears, than you should get an evaluation to properly diagnose you, so the proper treatment can begin. You may have a strain in the area, or a disc may be "slipped, etc. Best wishes.

Pain: Pain can be due to trauma/injury or to nerve that's overreacting. Pain in neck & shoulders may be due to stress, poor posture, etc. In older adults, we might think of polymyalgia rheumatica. Arthritic conditions don't generally start in neck & shoulders w/o trauma. You listed "reconstruction surgery" but didn't describe what was fixed. If it's bad enough to make you cry, it's time to go see ur doc.
