Could my baby's throat get irritated from crying so much?

Yes: Excessive crying does make your throat hurt, but doesn't cause any lasting damage. However, if your baby is crying excessively, and it is not easy to figure out what's wrong, consult your baby's doctor.

Yes: A baby can get irritation of the vocal cords from excessive crying. The throat should be ok, because the vocal cords are farther below and not really a part of the throat. The baby's cry can become hoarse, but it takes a lot of crying to make that happen.
