Can babies get sore throats from crying?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Absolutely.: If you have ever attended an exciting football game and cheered vociferously for your team, the next morning (if not later that night!) you were probably hoarse and your throat was probably sore. Babies crying use the same basic equipment as your cheering. Obviously it requires rather forceful, red-faced crying (not just a whimper), usually with a waterfall of tears! resting the voice improves it.
