Go to the ER Now!: A child that has problems with gait, is obviously in pain and has an unexplained growth needs to be seen. Now. It could be a number of things.

Neck swelling: With a sick child, I would be concerned about an infection of a lymph node. He has pain and is walking funny. He needs to be seen in the ER. All the best.

Hello. I am a 37 year old woman. A few days ago I found a swollen bump under my skin on my left cheek near my ear. Over the next three days it spread to behind my ear and down my neck. It seems to be several swollen bumps that are connected and are painful to the touch. My ear doesnt hurt, just the bumps. Otherwise I am a little stuffed up and tired but I feel fine. (I have two young kids so Im usually tired) Painful swollen nodes near my ear?
