Flare up of what?: It's always best to clarify w/your prescribing physician exactly what medications to stop & which to continue when adding a new one to your regimen. Apriso is a brand of mesalamine, commonly used for ulcerative colitis. I found no drug-drug interaction at http://www.Drugs.Com/interactions-check.Php?Drug_list=1835-0, 2128-1385. So can you take both? Sure. Should you? Ask your doc.
