I had a septoplasty 7 months ago and i have a strange smell up my nose. what could it be?

Look inside: You should have a doctor look inside your nose. To make sure you don't have an infection or a foreign body in the nose.

Strange smell: A foul smell after nasal surgery may indicate and infection. You should be evaluated by your nose surgeon to rule out that possibility.

Follow up surgeon: Foul smell may be indicative of an infection, which can really only be diagnosed by a comprehensive exam. Other possibilities include sinus infections which may be unrelated to your septoplasty and can be evaluated by a facial plastic surgeon.
