Biaxin (clarithromycin) side effect: Biaxin (clarithromycin) is a very good antibiotic, especially for upper respiratory infections. Some people may experience side effects related to the GI tract. Symptoms such as a metallic taste, heartburn, gas are not of great concern and are usually tolerable. If it becomes intolerable let your doctor know so an adjustment in meds can be done.
