Ultrasound: The normal ovary can release some fluid into the pelvis from a follicle. This is normal and hence normal to see it on sono.

Very Common: It is not abnormal to see a small amount of free fluid in the female pelvis. Most of the time this is due to normal female physiology. However, strictly speaking we can never be 100% positive without knowing the whole clinical history of the patient. Therefore, it is pretty standard for the radiologist to mention it in the report to the referring physician. I would ask your doc what he/she thinks.
