Hi i am 27 and had a pelvic & a transvaginal ultrasound it was extremely painful and the tech said i have free fluid in my pelvic what does this mean?

Few things: Sometimes the exam can be painful just because it is an uncomfortable procedure other times because there is an abnormality they are pressing on. The free fluid depends on how much. A tiny amount is normal in females.

Depends: I pelvic pain with ultrasound is nonspecific and may indicate additional pelvic examination by a physician. A small amount of free pelvic fluid is typically physiologic, relating to menstrual cycle/ovulation but a larger amount may indicate something else, such as inflammation, etc.
