Yes, do try: Eat plenty of vegetables and lean protein. Eat a lower carb, low glycemic diet. Avoid fructose particularly in processed foods and sugar sweetened beverages. Add omega 3 fatty acids up to 3 to 5 grams daily. You will want to titrate up and look for gastrointestinal side effects. Increase your physical activity to daily if not already.

Lipids: If ou wish to try and control with diet, become a vegetarian and check your lipids after 3 months to see how it is working. Keep up the exercise.

Lower the numbers.: Regular cardiovascular exercise, low saturated and trans fats in the diet. Avoid fried, deep fried and sauteed foods. When cooking, bake, broil or grill. High fiber - 35 grams daily in divided doses across smaller more frequent meals.
