A member asked:

Are my cholesterol numbers high? do i need medications? will they be chronic? all my previous records were at the desirable levels total chol: 210.36 hdl: 48.72 ldl: 139.6 triglycerides: 162.1 height: 5'6" weight: 167.6 lbs pbf: 36.2%

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: The triglycerides are slightly high but would not treat alone,HdL good-the higher the better and the LDL mild to moderately high. Before meds diet and exercise-decrease polysaturated fats, hydrogenate fats.Increase mono-saturated and polyunsaturated fats and get rechecked in 3-4 months.
