Less than 95%: Most people will have a lower o2 saturation while sleeping, but your child should be able to stay at or above 95%. If that's not the case, you should contact your doctor.

Given the recent...: Care provided for asthma exacerbation, and particularly if still on steroids and/or albuterol, its reasonable to maintain a higher degree of vigilance. I generally use a cutoff of 92% o2 sat. That being said, i try to treat patients, not numbers. Parental concern, or physical exam findings like wheezing, flaring, retractions and tachypnea reflect respiratory distress and should prompt an eval.
