Ask their doctor how they interpreted the troponin. It is a marker for heart muscle damage but it's unlikely this was a heart attack at age 35. I suspect they have rhabdomyolysis which is caused by breakdown of skeletal muscle [from trauma or repetitive actions like playing congas] or dehydration releasing myoglobin into the blood which can damage the kidney. Troponin is high in Rhabdomyolysis too
