My fam doc diagnosed quinsy a week ago, and referred me to a ent, but they haven't called back. the pain is getting worse, should i go to the hospital?

Yes, but...: ...Be sure to go to one that has ENT available--if you go to university of maryland or johns hopkins, they will be in-hospital most of the day time (try not to go at night--aim for weekday/daytime). Other hospitals usually have on-call ent, but often are not in-hospital. Bring a book. Increased pain means need to go get seen in er.
