I had seen my family docor twice for gout, the swelling has gone awsy but not the aching pain on my toes ...what can/should i do?

Chronic goumedicine : Gout is a metabolic disease caused by either hyper production or under excretion of urate, which is itself a product of purine amino acids. As they pass through several catabolic pathways in the body xanthine converts into uric acid for excretion in the kidney as a waste byproduct. Consumption of high purine~protein along with urate renal competititive inhibitors ie alcohol or diuretics increase.

See a foot doc: And have the toes evaluated. Have x-rays taken to evaluate the bone structure. It is unclear if the gout is causing the toe pain as gout is usually monoarticular but you complain it is in multiple toes.
