I think so: Gout could affect any joint does not have to be big toe alone especially if you have family history of it.

Yes: The usual signs of gout are redness, swelling and significant pain in a joint that comes on quite quickly. Although the big toe joint is most commonly affected it can occur in any joint of the foot. Gout is a severe inflammatory reaction to uric acid crystals forming in the joint. Your elevated uric acid may be a good indication that you really do have gout. Medication like Ibuprofen usually help.
