Depends: The paleo diet excludes both legumes (beans) and whole grains. These provide essential nutrients and are considered a part of a healthy diet. In fact, beans are a staple of the diets of many centenarian concentrated communities around the globe. Don't chase fad diets.

Yes: For the most part but for some there have been a rise in liver enzymes so if on the diet lan for a long time get checked just to be sure you are ok. It is not common but reported.

Yes, but this is an: Ideal diet for an affluent person with access to fresh and safe foods at all times. This is a diet of choice, not necessity. Most of the world survives on cheaper carbs/cereals.The choice of grass vs grain fed filet mignon means it's an exclusive diet. It probably is a healthy diet, but compared to what? My family roughly follows this, but we aren't subsistence farmers in central america.

It is: I use it in my practice for patients with gastrointestinal issues (in particular diarrhea predominant IBS) and my prediabetics to prevent progression to diabetes, and then my diabetic patients to prevent progression to requiring insulin shots, not to mention weight loss. Go for it.
