Tooth: I doubt this is a piece of tooth if this was not the area that was worked on. Point this out to your dentist at your follow up visit.

See your Dentist: The fragment may be a piece of tooth, bone, something you ate, part of normal healing, or something else. Go see your dentist for a post-op check up!
