Wisdom tooth: Penicillin, or any antibiotic, for that matter, can't "heal" a wisdom tooth. If the wisdom tooth is infected, it should most likely be removed, and that will solve the problem. That said, penicillin is usually prescribed for a 10-day course, and it's important to finish the whole prescription. The infection may improve, but is likely to recur as long as the wisdom tooth is the problem. See an oral.

It doesn't: It may temporarily help, but the problem may be the wisdom tooth is partially impacted causing food and bacteria getting into areas in your jaw that can not be cleaned. See your oral surgeon to have them removed immediately.
