Possibly: It is possible that the medication used for your injection has affected your sensory nerve. However, the numbness should resolve within a few hours - if not, i would recommend that you follow up with your physician.

Not normal: Once the local anesthetic that was mixed with the steroid wears off you should have return of normal sensation. Type of local utilized will determine the length of anesthesia up to 10 to 12 hours if Marcaine was used. If finger remains numb would be concerned about possible neuroapraxic injury to a digital nerve.
