Hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) and sodium: Hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) by its mechanism rids the body of sodium and water and reduces blood pressure in the process. If the craving is really bothersome, check with your doctor and check a sodium level. Its rare, but sometimes hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) can lower your sodium levels too much.
