None: No vitamins are known to have any interactions with antabuse (disulfiram). Indeed, i feel it is wise for alcoholics to take b vitamins. Esp. High doses of vitamin b3, and many will also benefit from vit c, zinc. Magnesium, chromium etc.- see http://www.The-alcoholism-guide.Org/orthomolecular-alcoholism-treatment.Html however, one should avoid any herbs in tincture form!

All the same: The extra vitamins, minerals and iron that are required during pregnancy are all available in the appropriate amounts in any over the counter adult multivitamin. There is nothing extra special or better about a prenatal. A higher price does not mean it is better for you.

Take one: There are many brands of prenatal vitamins each with a slightly different compilation of vitamins. The best one to take is the one that you like. Folate (folic acid) in prenatal vitamins has been shows to prevent certain birth defects especially if taken before pregnancy. Find one you like and take it daily.

Why do I need vitamins in pregnancy?

Nutrition: Sometimes, especially in early pregnancy, nausea prevents women from taking adequate amounts of vitamins from diet alone. It is also very important to get enough Folic Acid (through taking the prenatal vitamin) to prevent birth defects. Some parts of prenatal vitamins may also be associated with supporting good brain development in the baby. Ask your doctor.
