Head lump: There are several possibilities here. Yes, one of them is that it could be an allergic reaction. It could also be an irritant dermatitis, where she is not actually allergic to the relaxer, but the chemicals were too strong for her skin and the scalp was irritated. It could be a folliculitis where the hair follicles became infected. Of it could be a swollen lymph node from irritation or infection.
